Yoga Fundamentals w/ Lori Armijo

Have you been wanting to start yoga but haven’t been able to find a class basic enough for you? This class will introduce you to beginning alignment and yoga postures, all at a pace that will allow you to safely build your practice with ease and much benefit. Join the supportive, warm community at Bhava Yoga Studio and be guided by a highly trained yoga teacher. While this class is gentle in its approach, it will also explore the fundamentals of strength-building. Students are welcomed and encouraged to repeat the Yoga Fundamentals Series until they feel confident enough to explore other classes. Pre-registration is recommended.

In this series, you will gain a deeper understanding of traditional yoga poses, learn therapeutic poses to address and prevent injury, and build the strength and confidence necessary to advance your asana practice.
Prevent and rehabilitate injuries, protect from overstretching, and create lasting strength and stability with an alignment based approach to practicing asana.
Drop-ins are welcome, however students are encouraged to attend full series as each week will build upon the previous in concepts, terms and actions.
November 7: Seated Poses & Twists
November 14: Standing Poses & Forward Bends
November 21: Backbends
November 28: Inversions & Savasana
