Amarananda Bhairavan
Amarananda Bhairavan, affectionately known as Nandu,
is an internationally renowned Vedic Scholar and Master Healer.
Initiated at the age of nine, he was trained in Oti vidya, a tantra unique to Odiyyathis or tribal medicine women of Kerala.
Amarananda Bhairavan remains a direct descendant of this eight thousand year old tradition of goddess worship. His mystical
education and initiations in the ancient Oti vidya tantric practices are the subject of his two visionary books: Kali's Odiyya: A Shaman's
True Story of Initiation and Medicine of Light: A Shaman's Journey through Mystic Space-Time.
A Vedic scholar, mystic, and master of sacred art, Amarananda Bhairavan holds Masters Degrees in both Sanskrit and Physical Therapy.
Embodying a rare combination of wisdom, compassion, humility and transformative power, Nandu regularly travels the world giving lectures and workshops,
performing pujas and fire ceremonies, and conducting private consultations and healing rituals.
Nandu is also available for individual readings while in Albuquerque.
Schedule by phone: 505-842-1080 or by e-mail: bea@bhavayogastudio.com
Individual Rice Readings
45 minutes (by appointment), $108
A Rice Reading is an evaluation tool used by adepts of the Deep Soul Healing practices. During each reading, Bhairavan uses a
method of divination called Oti Nottam, developed by the odiyyas to see each person's astral body, karmic sheath
(with its marma-chakra systems), mystic shield and all layers of mental realms. As in Jyotish astrology, Rice Reading ceremonies
reveal the current energetic state of the client - Nandu will share what he sees from the rice about a person's past, present and
future tendencies. Blemishes, prana flow impairments and other harmful abnormalities are detected and remedies offered to repair them.
Questions can also be asked.
Pujas for Personal Empowerment
1 hour (by appointment), $250
Puja is a ritual worship of an aspect of the Supreme Divine. Aspects of the Supreme Divine could be angels (Deva), deities such as
Lakshmi, Tara, saints/seers (Rishi), incarnations of the divine such as Mother Mary, Buddha, Christ, Krishna (Avatar), Gurus living or
ascended, or elemental beings such as earth, fire, water (Bhumi, Agni, Aapa). These beings have specific attributes that, if invoked,
can infuse the participant with endowments specific to the deities. For example, Mother Mary is commonly invoked and prayed to for
health related issues; Lakshmi is invoked and worshipped for abundance; or Durga in times of distress, and so on.
There are specific pujas (chants and ritual prayers) for each of these deities. Puja is powerfully effective because of its unique ability to penetrate the energetic karmic crust through specific chants and prayers.
These prayers connect us to our inner centers of divine power. In a one-hour puja, the person's intentions are empowered and his or her
subtle body strengthened.
