Classes are taught by Darcy Cooke, physician assistant in breast cancer care and certified yoga instructor.

Yoga Fundamentals Level 1

Have you been wanting to start yoga but haven’t been able to find a class basic enough for you? This class will introduce you to beginning alignment and yoga postures, all at a pace that will allow you to safely build your practice with ease and much benefit. This class is great for those experiencing aches and pains in the body, and back health will be addressed many times throughout the series. Join the supportive, warm community at Bhava Yoga Studio and be guided by a highly trained yoga teacher. While this class is gentle in its approach, it will also explore the fundamentals of strength-building. Students are welcomed and encouraged to repeat the fundamentals series classes 1 and 2 until they feel confident enough to explore other class offerings. The class meets for 6-week sessions, Wednesdays (5:45 pm). Please pre-register. If you are experiencing moderate to severe pain, we recommend that you setup a private yoga session.
